A special day took place at the Fraglia Vela in Peschiera sul Garda, where a sailing therapy experience was organized as part of the Itaca Project, promoted by AIL Verona. Last Sunday, fourteen boats sailed the waters of the lake in a regatta that combined competition and collaboration among the crews, while the favorable wind made the event even more engaging. This initiative was not just a race; it represented an opportunity for oncology and hematology patients and their caregivers to regain balance and well-being through contact with nature.
Among the participants were the President of AIL, Daniel Lovato, along with the Vice President of Fraglia Vela Peschiera, Francesco Barbieri, and the Sports Director, Massimo Tosi. All welcomed the project enthusiastically, actively supporting the organization of the day. The Itaca Project’s main goal is to help individuals take control of their lives again after difficult experiences. A future event is planned for the fall, continuing this important initiative of support and rehabilitation.
