The Feast of San Lorenzo will take place in Cadria on Sunday, August 10, continuing the centuries-old tradition of the “gift of bread and wine”. In this small hamlet of Magasa, all participants at the 11 a.m. mass will receive a piece of blessed bread and a glass of wine, in a ritual that has been repeated since 1588 thanks to a bequest. The distribution will occur at the end of the religious celebration, keeping alive a tradition that has deep roots in the local community.
In addition to the religious ceremony, there will be a food stand offering sandwiches with salamelle, the typical grilled Tombea cheese, and other local specialties. For those who wish to enjoy polenta cùsa, it can be reserved by Friday, August 8, by contacting the infopoint. The feast promises to attract numerous visitors to celebrate the patron saint of the hamlet and enjoy the culinary delights on offer.
