The Salerno Nautical Center was inaugurated in 1955 and is located in the Lungomare area, near the port.

The center’s headquarters take into account the many students who participate in water activities, sailing, and swimming. The facility includes a large indoor pool and extensive areas for learning and training.

Students take part in practical exercises, sailing courses, and regattas. Cultural meetings and conferences on marine conservation are also held here.

The center collaborates with numerous sports and nautical institutions to promote maritime culture among youth and to foster environmental education.

The main building extends over multiple floors: the ground floor houses practical training areas and assistance points, while the upper floor contains classrooms and administrative offices. External areas include small docks and spaces for showcasing nautical equipment.

The outdoor zones of the center are accessible via pedestrian and bike paths, promoting interaction with the sea and outdoor walking activities.

The Salerno Nautical Center aims to provide a multifunctional service, targeted not only at athletes and students but also at families and local associations.

Recreational activities include sailing courses for children, youth regattas, and evenings of informational meetings on the sea and nautical topics.
