Salò, aggressive pitbull: behavioral rehabilitation for the dog has begun

A pitbull bit a passerby on August 20th on Via Garibaldi in Salò, injuring a 34-year-old man in the genital area. The dog’s owner initially assisted the victim but left the scene before emergency services arrived. The injured person was taken to Poliambulanza, while the carabinieri identified the owner a few hours later. Although the victim has not yet filed a complaint, authorities have taken action against the owner. The Ats has mandated a course of behavioral rehabilitation for the pitbull, which was already known for previous aggressive incidents and should have been wearing a muzzle. The dog will be monitored by a veterinary behaviorist and subjected to checks to oversee its rehabilitation. The owner stated on social media that he did not flee but attempted to calm the agitated animal, expressing regret over the incident and offering apologies. Italian Version
