Salò and Giuseppe Zanardelli: cultural events on Lake Garda

A series of cultural events dedicated to the history and art of Lake Garda will take place in Salò and Gargnano, organized by the Ateneo di Salò Onlus in collaboration with local administrations. The meetings, titled “Lake Garda and Its Protagonists: People, Works, and Contexts,” will occur between November and December, with the first appointment scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at 5:00 PM at the former Town Hall of Gargnano. During this event, Alessandro Bertoli will present a portrait of the renowned Brescia statesman Giuseppe Zanardelli, titled “Through the Eyes of Argo: Minister Zanardelli Behind the Scenes of the First Liberal Government.” The second meeting will be held on Friday, November 21, at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium of the Salò Library, where Nino Dolfo will explore cultural life through his work “In the Beginning Was the Gaze: A Wandering Notebook of a Cultural Reporter.” Finally, on Thursday, December 18, at 4:00 PM, also in the Auditorium of the Salò Library, the catalog of the exhibition “Pietro Bellotti and 17th Century Painting in Venice” will be presented, offering a unique opportunity to delve into the figure of the Venetian artist.
