Ignazio Pollini, a resident of Salò who has been active in Venezuela since 1987, recently returned to Salò to share the progress of his integrated educational and socio-health support project in the Andes region. Through the Day Center “Jardín de la Esperanza” and the initiative “Bibliomulas,” Pollini is dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families affected by the severe humanitarian crisis plaguing the country. With the support of the Germano Chincherini Foundation Onlus, which funds a significant portion of his activities, Pollini works to ensure food, medical care, and access to education for minors from dysfunctional backgrounds.

The situation in Venezuela is critical: with over 8 million refugees and a population struggling to access basic necessities, Pollini’s intervention is crucial. His projects not only provide material assistance but also educational opportunities through the distribution of books in remote areas. His field experience highlights the daily challenges faced by local communities and emphasizes the importance of educational support as a tool for social change.
