Salò Antiques Market and Art Exhibition Scheduled for Summer 2023
. The combination of events will animate Salò from 8:30 AM until sunset. “About forty stalls,” explains Nirvana Grisi, municipal councilor delegate and president of the local Associazione commercianti, “will be set up along the first stretch of the lakeside promenade and under the trees of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, better known as the Fossa. “Old items, curiosities, collectibles — from chandeliers to ornaments, from paintings to prints — will be exhibited. An exhibition consistent with the taste for the antique, the name given to the market. The placement of the stalls has been carefully planned to guide visitors toward Via Gasparo, where about ten painters will display their works.”
Some will paint, others will simply sell. The event, organized by the Associazione culturale Memorie di Melzo (Milan), will be repeated on Saturday, June 23 (from 4 PM to 11 PM), Saturday, July 28 (4-11 PM), Tuesday, August 14 (4-11 PM), Saturday, August 25 (4-11 PM), and Saturday, September 22. “If things go well, we might increase the number of dates,” Grisi explains.
The goal is to revitalize Via Gasparo, which in recent months has undergone restoration with new paving and flower boxes. I remind you that if vendors want to set up tents, merchants along this street do not pay the public space fee. The aim of the Municipality is to promote events and activities.
