On Sunday, October 6, 2024, Salò will become the stage for one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Salò Buskers Festival, a unique event that brings together the best street performers from around the world. From 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the squares and streets of the historic center will come alive with juggling, acrobatics, music, and magic, transforming the city into a large open-air theater.

Artists and Performances

The festival features a total of 13 fixed locations and 3 roaming performances, offering a diverse array of shows that will engage both young and old. Among the main artists performing are:

• Silvia Martini: with her extraordinary hula hoop skills, she will perform at Piazza Bianca Fossa at 3:00 PM and 5:45 PM.

• Compagnia Ma.Re.: an acrobatic duo that will enchant the audience with their hand-to-hand performance at Fondo Fossa at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

• Lorenzo Crivellari: a master juggler, he will perform at the Lungolago, near the bust of Gasparo da Salò, at 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM.

• Mago Alesgar: a magic and bubble show that will captivate children and adults alike, performing on Via Napoleone from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

In addition to the fixed performances, there will also be roaming artists such as Brassato Drum, a band that will bring energy and rhythm to the streets of Salò, and stilt walkers from Ordallegrì and Infinity Arts, who will add a touch of magic and surprise as they stroll among the audience.

A Festival for the Whole Family

The Salò Buskers Festival is the perfect opportunity to spend a day of fun and culture with the family. The performances are designed to engage people of all ages, offering a mix of visual art, music, and acrobatic acts. The event will take place in various locations around the city, including Piazza Vittoria, Fondo Fossa, Piazza Baden Powell, and Lungolago Zanardelli, ensuring a day filled with discovery and entertainment.

Tribute to Fantinelli and Other Side Events

In addition to the street performers, the festival will pay tribute to composer Aur Fantinelli with a concert featuring Alessandro Reni (guitar), Antonio D’Alessandro (guitar), and Andrea Casarotto (double bass). This event will take place on October 6 at 6:00 PM in the prestigious Sala dei Provveditori and will be free of charge.

Furthermore, for art and sound enthusiasts, the event “Equilibri Avanzati – Soundrawing,” curated by Anna Lisa Ghirardi, will offer a unique artistic journey that combines sound and drawing. The appointment is set for Saturday, October 6 at 8:45 PM in Piazza Zanelli.

In Case of Rain

If bad weather interferes with the festival, the event will be postponed to a later date. For real-time updates, you can follow the social media pages of the Municipality of Salò and Pro Loco.
