In Salò, on April 1, 2025, an important conference dedicated to Alcide De Gasperi will take place, titled “Alcide De Gasperi and Politics as Service.” The event, which will be held in the Sala dei Provveditori, will feature prominent figures such as the president of the De Gasperi Foundation, Angelino Alfano, and the vice president of the Lombardy Regional Council, Emilio Del Bono. This conference is part of the celebrations marking the eightieth anniversary of the end of World War II and aims to delve into the political and cultural legacy left by De Gasperi.
In addition to the conference, from April 5 to 13, an exhibition titled “Servus inutilis. Alcide De Gasperi and Politics as Service” will be inaugurated, curated by Paolo Valvo. The exhibition will provide visitors with a journey through De Gasperi’s words and thoughts, highlighting not only the politician but also the man behind the historical figure. Visitors will be able to explore five thematic sections that illustrate De Gasperi’s life and experiences, emphasizing his commitment to the common good and the revival of Italian democracy. Visits will also be available for school groups by reservation.
