The Salò Golosa 2026 Edition concluded with an overwhelmingly positive reception on Sunday, 27 September, successfully transforming the elegant historic centre, piazzas, and lakefront promenade of Salò into a sprawling, open-air restaurant. From midday until 16:00, enthusiastic participants navigated dedicated tasting routes focusing on the themes of Earth and Water, sampling culinary creations from local restaurants and pastry shops perfectly paired with premium Valtenesi wines.
An International Audience and Unique Culinary Experiences
For the event organizers, the most significant achievement was the diverse demographic of attendees who explored the city using the official Passaporto del Buon Gusto (Passport of Good Taste). The gastronomic journey attracted a vibrant mix of young food enthusiasts, long-time attendees, and a notable presence of international visitors arriving from Germany, Austria, the United States, and Brazil.
One of the most highly praised experiences of the day took place aboard the historic 1915 sailing ship Circe, offering unique tastings directly on the waters of the Gulf of Salò. The lively atmosphere throughout the town, located just steps away from the monumental Duomo di Salò, was further enhanced by students from the Caterina de’ Medici Hotel School and the energetic musical performances of the Rusty Brass Band playing through the historic streets.
Organizing Excellence and Future Ambitions
The intricate logistics and artistic direction of Salò Golosa were expertly managed by the Pro Loco of Salò, led by President GianLuca Banalotti, alongside members Giulia Banalotti and Emanuela Pasotti. Culinary coordination was entrusted to renowned chef Carlo Bresciani and his dedicated team.
The success of the day was made possible through the collaborative efforts of local restaurateurs, pastry chefs, commercial activities, producers, and dedicated volunteers. Supported by key institutions including the Comunità del Garda, the Municipality of Salò, and Visit Brescia, the organizers have already confirmed the highly anticipated return of the event for the 2027 season.
