Salò High School Students from Fermi Stage Euripides’ The Trojan Women at Cristal Cinema Theater

On Friday, May 15, 2026, students from the Classical track of Liceo E. Fermi performed Euripides’ The Trojan Women at Cinema Teatro Cristal in Salò, as part of the Notte Nazionale del Liceo Classico. Directed by Marialuisa Festi, Anna Menini, and Marta Muffolini, the production starred Marina Vivenzi as Hecuba, Caterina del Prete as Cassandra, Linda Paladini as Andromache, and Sophie Kay as Helen, using a minimalist set and sound cues to evoke the echo of bombardments.

The show also featured a female chorus and readings of Ghiannis Ritsos, Epitaffio and Lascito, recited by Fabio Bonomi, Luca Baldan, and Nicolò Caniato Carminati. Additional directing contributions came from Darius Meghesan, Guenda Rosa, Elena Vecchia, and Camilla Urbani, with Sabina d’Introno and Maria Principia Betrò opening and closing the evening; the staging was carried out with significant student involvement.
