Salò Horseback Riding Accident: Tragedy for Jessica Caratti

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30 in Salò for 45-year-old Jessica Caratti, who died after a horse-related accident in the Toscolano Maderno hinterland. During a walk with a friend the horse became frightened, fell backwards and struck her; she was taken to the Civil Hospital of Brescia in cardiac arrest and died on Christmas morning after two days in critical condition.

Caratti, a Gardone Riviera resident who worked at the Infopoint in Salò and leaves a son, is survived by her parents, Sergio and Wilma, and her brother Andrea. The mayor, Francesco Cagnini, expressed the administration’s condolences; the funeral will begin at 15:00 in the Duomo of Salò, departing from the Domus funeraria Rodella, and the body will be buried in the Gardone Riviera cemetery.
