A collision in Salò today, Friday the 18th, involved a Fiat 500 and a BMW in a violent head-on crash that occurred around 1 PM on Via Europa, the road connecting Tormini to Cunettone. The four occupants of the BMW, including three children aged between 6 and 11 years and their 62-year-old uncle, sustained significant injuries; two of the children were transported to hospital in critical condition to Civile Hospital in Brescia, while the other child and the uncle were admitted in stable condition to the hospital in Desenzano.
The Local Police of Salò, led by Commander Stefano Traverso, is currently investigating the circumstances of the incident. Firefighters and three ambulances from the 118 emergency service also responded to manage the emergencies. During the investigation, the road was closed to traffic with diversions implemented in the center of Salò, causing considerable disruption to circulation in the surrounding area. Fortunately, the driver of the Fiat 500 involved in the incident did not suffer any consequences.
