The technical and economic feasibility project for the roundabout at Muro has finally been approved, marking a significant step towards improving road safety at one of the most critical intersections in Salò. This long-awaited intervention aims to address the issues associated with the intersection on the SP 572, known for the numerous accidents that have occurred over the past decade. With an investment of 480,000 euros, the municipality plans to construct a roundabout with an outer diameter of 28 meters, featuring a landscaped central island designed to eliminate typical conflicts arising from left turns. Local authorities, including Mayor Francesco Cagnini and Public Works Councillor Tommaso Cigognetti, have emphasized that this project will not only drastically reduce the risk of accidents but will also facilitate pedestrian connections between the Villa district and the city center. Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2026, following the approval of the final project anticipated by June of next year. Italian Version
