Salo Opens New Exhibition on Social Tourism and Job Inclusion

The inauguration of **Corte Nuovi Orizzonti** in **Salò** has launched a new hospitality facility focused on **social tourism** and **work inclusion**. The project, developed by **Co.Ge.S.S.**, is the third accommodation structure managed by the cooperative and is based on the **restoration of a historic building** under the **“Overbook”** initiative, supported by the **2025 Provincial Emblematic Call** funded by **Fondazione Cariplo** and **Fondazione della Comunità Bresciana**, with backing from the **Municipality of Salò**.

The renovation was carried out with contributions from local businesses and professionals, including **Impresa Edile Perini Srl (William Perini), Edilmarket, Tuttolegno, Elettrica Bortolotti**, and **DND**, which supplied **ergonomic handles** to improve accessibility. The event featured speeches from **Cristina Baruzzi** (Co.Ge.S.S. president), **Marcella Merigo** (Salò councillor for Social Services), **Angelo Tosana** (cooperative director), and representatives including **Valeria Negrini** (Fondazione Cariplo) and **Alessandra Bruscolini** (Co.Ge.S.S. work-inclusion services coordinator), alongside architects from the **Centro Culturale Aldo Moro**. The programme includes **“Orizzonti Giovani”** with students from **Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi** and the **Maja** agency, which helped create **three murals**, and it will host work-integration pathways for people facing vulnerability while running cultural and social activities with local partners such as **GAL GardaValsabbia2020, Circolo ARCI Salò, Società Canottieri Garda Salò, Cooperativa Tempo Libero, Fondazione StefyLandia ONLUS, CAI di Gavardo – Sentiero di Cinzia**, and **Equipark**.
