Salò Reports Over a Decade of False Claims on Sublacual Procedures in Peschiera

Salò’s PD has criticized a decade-long pursuit of a false “sublacual conduits emergency” linked to the Peschiera wastewater plant. The party notes that a new project now plans to place sewage pipelines in the lake using safer materials and methods, involving regional authorities and local municipalities in revising the pipeline route.

The party argues that the original decision led to a 50% regional stake sale of the Peschiera plant to Veneto and abandoned cheaper modernization options estimated at under €20 million, compared to the current €260 million project. They also cite concerns over environmental impacts, increased costs, and potential rate hikes for residents.
