The 25th Meeting Città di Salò “Canottieri Swim Cup” took place on Sunday, November 17, at the municipal pools of the Sports Complex, featuring 350 male and female swimmers from Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino Alto Adige. Organized by the Canottieri Garda, the event saw participation from 14 clubs and 21 teams, showcasing high-level performances. In the men’s category, Filippo Doldi from Soncino Sporting Club achieved the best score in the 400m freestyle with a time of 3:53.75, while in the women’s category, Matilde Bassignani from Sport Dream Campus Team Pavia recorded the best result in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:10.92.
The team standings crowned Sport Dream Campus Team Pavia as the champions, followed by Canottieri Garda Salò and Soncino Sporting Club. The local team also won the Canottieri Swim Cup Trophy, awarded to the top-ranking club among the “Canottieri.” The coaches of the top three clubs received cash prizes for their achievements. This interregional event was sponsored by the Municipality of Salò and featured both male and female sessions held in the morning and afternoon, with automatic timing managed by the Italian Federation of Timekeepers.
