Salò Underwater Cleanup: Divers and Volunteers Clear Debris from Marina

Salò’s port, Mauro Melzani, underwent a major underwater cleanup on April 18, organized by Canottieri Garda in collaboration with Apnea Club Brescia. During the operation, approximately 20 divers recovered a significant amount of debris, including bottles, metal structures, tires, and car batteries, with volunteers assisting in transporting the collected waste.

The port, built in 2004 and home to Canottieri Garda, features 100 boat slips and 25 storage spaces. Club president Nicola Benedetti praised Apnea Club Brescia for their professionalism, highlighting their ongoing commitment to environmental preservation through regular waste removal activities in local waters.
