Salò Violin: Rovatinsky Pays Tribute to Gasparo
A pixel-art mosaic depicting the “Violin Salò” by Rovatinsky has been installed in Fossa, near the junction of Via Gasparo da Salò and Via Garibaldi, close to the luthier’s birthplace. Created by Brescia artist Alberto Rovati, the artwork pays tribute to Gasparo da Salò, a key figure associated with the birth and development of the modern violin.
The installation is part of Rovatinsky’s street-art project, which includes more than 370 mosaics across Italy and Europe. In Salò’s historic center, it brings a contemporary visual language to the city’s traditional luthier heritage.
