Salò’s Teatro Bomboniera Restored with Fisl Funding and Historic Performances
Teatro Bomboniera of Salò, which, after decades of neglect, is being restored.
Restorations and Structural Interventions
The restorations funded by the Fisl regionale have begun, supported by a subsidy of 1.8 billion lire, aimed at the structural overhaul of the building designed by architect Achille Sfrondini, modeled after the old Manzoni in Milan, and inaugurated in October 1873 with a spectacular production of “Rigoletto.” A previous intervention, costing 500 million lire, already carried out seismic retrofitting and works for consolidation and safety.
The first phase includes completing vaults, the stage, the foyer, and architectural and technological interventions.
