The Alpine group of San Felice del Benaco celebrated on December 30 the 92nd anniversary of the historical memory of Danilo Saletti, a living symbol of Alpine values. Born in 1932, Saletti began his service in the Alpine Corps in May 1953, at the “Cesare Battisti” barracks in Merano, completing his training as a radio telegrapher in Dobbiaco. During the event, the community came together to honor Danilo’s life, emphasizing the importance of the principles of solidarity, courage, and love for the land that he represents.
The gathering saw active participation from members of the Alpine group and local citizens, who expressed deep gratitude for the moral and cultural legacy passed down by Saletti. The celebration not only commemorated an important personal milestone but also strengthened the bond between past and present generations, highlighting how historical memory is essential for keeping alive the values that characterize the Alpines.
