From 26 September to 24 October, the Fondazione Cominelli in San Felice del Benaco will host Fuck War, a group exhibition bringing together 28 artists to address one of the most urgent issues of the present day: war. Curated by Michele Serini on an idea by the Fondazione Raffaele Cominelli and organised by the Pro Loco of San Felice del Benaco, the exhibition is presented as a response to recent international events that continue to unsettle the world, using art to send a direct message against conflict.
The project aims to bring together different artistic languages, paths and sensibilities, allowing the works to create a dialogue while preserving each artist’s identity. Participating artists include Agostino Arrivabene, Alessia Gatti, Anna Ghilardi, Antonio Marchetti Lamera, Dario Tironi, Elena Monzo, Fidia, Filippo Dobrilla, Francesco De Molfetta, Gianfranco Gentile, Giuseppina Fontana, Harry Greb, Imma Parenti, Luca Bray, Luiss Perlanera, Marco Bertin, Margherita Martinelli, Massimo Mariano, Michelangelo Galliani, Nicola Vinci, Pierluca Cetera, Rosario Fossati, Silvia Sangaletti, Silvia Trappa, Uber, Vanni Cuoghi, Vincenzo Pagliuca and Wlady Sacchi. Guided by Serini, the exhibition is described as a varied route with a shared focus on the simple and necessary word: peace, and as a chance for art to express what words may no longer be able to convey.
Fuck War will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00. The official opening will be the vernissage on Saturday 26 September at 18:00. Visits during the week for schools or groups are also available by appointment. The Fondazione Cominelli is at via Padre Francesco Santabona, 9, in San Felice del Benaco (BS); information is available at www.fckwar.it, via email at info@fckwar.it, and by WhatsApp at 3929529797.
