San Francesco Cloister hosts the Publishing Fair in Gargnano
The Chiostro di San Francesco in Gargnano is set to host the first edition of the Publishing Fair, titled “Books Under the Porticos,” which will take place on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. During these two days, from 10 AM to 8 PM, the cloister and the porticos of the former town hall will become the epicenter of editorial culture, featuring 25 publishing houses ready to showcase a selection of their catalogs. The Cultural Councillor, Fabiana Bonomini, emphasized the importance of books as tools for growth and the circulation of ideas.
The event will include 12 book presentations in the cloister, where authors will engage in discussions with moderators about their works. At the former town hall, workshops for children will be held: on Saturday, there will be “A Book Just for Me” and “Sounding Animals,” while Sunday will feature “Drawings of Fairy Tale Characters.” This event represents a unique opportunity to explore the local publishing landscape and engage younger generations in the wonderful world of reading.
