On Sunday, August 31, the Santa Rosa Festival will take place on Monte Baldo, a traditional mountain event that attracts numerous mountain enthusiasts. The celebration will begin at 11:30 AM with a mass at the alpine church of Santa Rosa, located at an altitude of 2,147 meters, next to the Telegrafo Refuge. This year, the ceremony will be presided over by the Bishop of Verona, Mons. Domenico Pompili, while the Caprino Band will entertain attendees with a concert at 10:45 AM.
After the mass, a procession to the summit is scheduled, along with a blessing for all present, followed by the singing of “Signore delle cime” by Bepi De Marzi. Participants are invited to bring a packed lunch or take advantage of the nearby refuge. For those who wish to join the hike organized by the Giovane Montagna association, the meeting point is set for 6:30 AM at the Verona Nord parking lot or at 7:30 AM at the Prada parking lot. The route involves an elevation gain of 1,200 meters and takes approximately three and a half hours to ascend.
