Scam Alert: Carabinieri Impersonators Target Garda Region Businesses

They are cracking down on Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda region, proposing subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those with no connection to law enforcement agencies.
