Scammers Impersonate Authorities Offering Fake Magazines in Garda Region

Posing as Carabinieri, individuals call hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Medio and Alto Garda region, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, police, fire brigades, or the Comune guards.

Recognizing scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,

if they seek money, will no longer make themselves visible.
