They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda area, proposing subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, regular police, fire brigade, or municipal police.
