Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area Outreach

They pose as Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, proposing magazine subscriptions related to the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or Municipal guards.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the true Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect that you have been targeted by someone who,

despite wanting money, no longer shows themselves.
