Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to magazines of the Carabinieri.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
