Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda, Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering magazine subscriptions from the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who each time claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

How to recognize scams and how to respond

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
