Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Phone Calls

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to the force’s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance agencies, police, fire brigades, or the Municipality’s.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
