Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They split up to Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Mid and Upper Garda areas, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, fire brigades, or municipal police.

Recognizing Scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
