Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate carabinieri when making telephone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs around Garda’s mid and high areas, offering subscriptions to Arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the financial police, police, firefighters, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
