Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri, scammers make phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing magazine subscriptions from the army.

They are not soldiers, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal Guard.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to fictitious magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
