Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to military-issued magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, firefighters, or the Comune (Municipal Office).

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement authorities.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the {Carabinieri} – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
