Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri, the scammers contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda by phone, proposing subscriptions to the arma journals.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.

So, be cautious and immediately inform the real Carabinieri—just dial 112— as soon as you suspect being targeted by someone who,
