Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when telephone contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda areas, offering subscriptions to the arm‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance office, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement agencies.
