Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the mid and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately inform the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
