They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines related to the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.
