Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Targeting Garda Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering magazine subscriptions from the arma.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.
