Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Fraudulently Sell Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Comune (Municipal Police).

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
