Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or the Comune police.

Recognizing scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the true Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
