Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the army‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire department, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to fake magazines or publications unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
