Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Business Owners

Pretending to be Carabinieri, scammers call hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing magazine subscriptions from the arm.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire department, or municipal officers.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect being targeted by individuals who, after taking the money, disappear without a trace.
