Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Region Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, at various times, claim to belong to the financial police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.
