Scammers Impersonate Police for Fake Magazine Subscription Schemes

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to arms magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement forces.
