Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, police, fire brigade, or local municipal officers.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement authorities.
