Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazines in Garda Area

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda areas, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not members of the military, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
