Scammers Impersonate Police to Trick Garda Business Owners

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to magazines of the forces.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.
