Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Army magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, stay vigilant and immediately notify the carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect being targeted by individuals who, after receiving the money, disappear without a trace.
